About Robbins Farms

Ron and Nancy Robbins, together with their son Brian, are the owners of a multi-generational diversified farm business just outside the historic village of Sackets Harbor.

Founded in 1977 with 100 acres of rented land, Ron and Nancy have transformed the business to include 6000 acres of owned and rented land raising a variety of field crops and vegetables, a 1400 cow dairy, a grain processing enterprise, and a very popular and well respected farm tour and agricultural education enterprise.

Current Farm Components:

1. Crop Farm-600 tillable acres (1300 owned and 2700 rented) of which is grown a variety of crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa, hay, pumpkins and sweet corn.
2. Dairy Farm- 700 cows currently milking and avg. of 85 + lbs/day/cow raising over 700 head of dairy replacements of various ages.
3. Grain drying and soybean roasting-storage capacity for 150,000 of grain w/scales and related infrastructure.
4. Farm Tour/Agriculture Education - Founded in 1986 this enterprise includes 200 farm animals, a visitors center, tours of the dairy facilities, a farm market and Lazy Cow Cafe. Open May 1st to October 31st, this enterprise attracts over thousands of visitors each year.
